Romaine Heart Harvest Tanimura & Antle Partner Growers for 20 Years
This field of Romaine was planted by Tanimura & Antle using the new plant tape machine. Plant tape is a combination of peat moss and vermiculite between two layers of a tape-like material. Seeds are sowed into the tape through a small opening. The transplanting machine is able to pull the tape out of the tray, cut it around each plant, and plant it in the soil, all with great accuracy.
